The Story Behind Turmeric Powder
Origin Story
Sri Lankan turmeric has been valued in Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years. Growing it within our food forest system means the soil is constantly enriched by leaf litter and companion plants, producing turmeric with superior medicinal properties.
Processing Method
Rhizomes are hand-dug, cleaned, and boiled briefly to activate curcumin. They are then sun-dried for 10–15 days and stone-ground to preserve the volatile oils that give our turmeric its distinctive aroma.
Export Details
Available as whole dried fingers or powder. Minimum order: 300kg. Curcumin content certified at > 5%. Available with organic and food safety certifications.
