"The forest provides for us, and we provide for the forest."

Empowering Our Partner Farmers
At Rooted Food Forest, the farmers are not just suppliers; they are the custodians of the land and our most vital partners. We work directly with smallholder farmers in and around Baduraliya.
Instead of dictating terms, we engage in continuous dialogue and capability building. We transition families away from monoculture cash crops, teaching them the principles of agroforestry that restore their ancestral lands.
When a farmer succeeds in growing a thriving, biodiverse plot, the entire ecosystem—both natural and economic—wins.
Livelihoods & Community Impact
A truly regenerative business model must regenerate the community. Here is how we ensure that our growth directly translates to local prosperity.
Fair Wages & Economic Security
We guarantee above-market premiums for all produce, ensuring our partner farmers can build stable, prosperous futures for their families without the pressure of volatile commodity markets.
Agroforestry Training
Farmers receive hands-on education in regenerative agriculture, helping them transition from chemical dependence to thriving, biodiverse food forests that heal the soil.
Health & Wellbeing
By eliminating synthetic pesticides and fertilizers, we protect the immediate health of farming families and local water sources, fostering a safer community environment.
Community Infrastructure
A portion of our export proceeds is reinvested directly into Baduraliya, funding local educational resources, community centers, and clean water initiatives.
